How does the answer to that question change the fact this is only an
estimate based on a survey, and not actual sales figures?

What do you think the margin of error for such a survey is?

That's it, Edwin: you hang on to your ludicrous claim that no iPhones
were sold after the end of June just as long as you can!

Re: iPhone outsells ALL smartphones in July
But the iPhone isn't a smartphone. It's a stupid phone for stupid people.
The blackberry 8830 is superior to it in every single way, shape, form, and
function.

You think a survey is insignificant since it suits your purpose, to
bash, and of course the answer doesn't fit your preconceived idea that
Apple stuff of any kind is crap.
Survey's are a tool of Market Research and are valuable tools to look at
trends.

Larry, in his lack of foresight, assumes that Apple will be standing
still and not evolving the iPhone while all others trump Apple's
offerings.
Not very forward looking there Larry.

The iphone is an entertainment device. Lots of folks have and use a
smartphone for business purposes. Can you directly edit a spreadsheet or
document sent to your iphone? Can you use the non-existent GPS to
display your position and route?

Can you directly edit a spreadsheet on any other phone? nope! not really.
The iPhone is a high powered communication device that has already
changed the world... in 65 days! a new Apple record!
You are talking about very old "apple //" concepts, "a spreadsheet" if
it had any value would be updated through Ruby on Rails, AJAX or PHP, so
your iPhone would display the latest info every time.
A "spreadsheet" is like the postit note of the 90's.
Get with the program!
